The advancement of technologies in the area of electronics and automation have produced very cost effective embedded hardware and vision related equipment. The convergence of these technologies open a vast research area which can benefit and uplift living conditions of humans. For example this convergence can produce applications ranging form vision based medical electronics, vision based automated intelligent vehicles, road condition monitoring, automating manufacturing processes, vision based HCI systems, to more simpler implementations such as vision based power saving in mobile electronic devices to name a few. Developing algorithms which can be implemented in embedded platforms that manipulate vision equipment is the current focus of the research group.
